The exhibit was through October 15 of 2011. Let this serve as a reminder of the great art that existed in the Presidio, and the great art yet to come. You can still see Andy Goldsworthy’s Spire and Wood Line. What urban setting has a national park that embraces naturalist art? I will tell you - absolutely nowhere else in the world.
A four day odyssey with Andy Goldsworthy, ephemeral and naturalistic artist who did both Spire & Wood Line within San Francisco’s Presidio. This is part 4/4 of a mini documentary on this Naturalist Artist

“Wood Line” by Andy Goldsworthy. Linked log sculpture commissioned by the Presidio Trust and For-Site Foundation. It runs down a slope below the roadway of West Pacific Avenue for 400 yards between Lovers’ Lane and Presidio Boulevard at the southeast corner of the Presidio.
A good ending for a tree - a short about Andy Goldsworthy’s Wood Line, now being built as a permanent sculpture in the Presidio.
